British Airways Club	Members earn two currencies on BA-marketed flights and oneworld partners: Avios (the spending currency) and Tier Points (the status currency). Tier Points: 1 per £1 of eligible BA spend (fare + extras like seats, baggage), 2 per £1 of Sustainable Aviation Fuel contributions (April 2026 update, max 2,000 tier points/year). Bonus tier points based on fare type (April 2026): flexible fares earn more than standard fares within the same cabin. American Airlines and Iberia flights now earn bonus tier points based on cabin/haul. No Saudi bank issues a BA co-branded card. Avios can also be earned via Marriott Bonvoy transfer (3:1 ratio, 5,000 bonus per 60,000 points).
Jarir Bookstore	Jarir Discount Card is not a points program - there's no earning mechanic in the traditional sense. Instead, cardholders receive an instant 10% discount on eligible categories: most office supplies, art and craft supplies, books, and computer bags. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, both in Jarir stores and on Jarir.com. To qualify for the card, applicants must have accumulated at least 500 SAR in purchase history under their registered mobile number. Jarir verifies this automatically from past transaction records. If the threshold isn't met, customers can add purchases to reach 500 SAR. Application is processed exclusively through the Jarir mobile app.

Redemption structure

British Airways Club	Avios redeem for award flights and upgrades on BA, oneworld partners. Reward Flight Saver offers fixed cash + Avios pricing for select short-haul routes. Standard award flights use variable Avios + taxes/fees. BA award redemptions include high carrier-imposed surcharges (especially on premium-cabin long-haul). Members can use Avios for hotel stays (BA Hotels), car rentals, Avios shopping, BA Cabin Crew Wine, and gift experiences. Cash + Avios part-pay available on most BA bookings. Tier Points cannot be redeemed — they only determine status.
Jarir Bookstore	The 10% discount is applied automatically at the point of sale. In Jarir physical stores, cardholders open the Jarir app, tap "Discount Card" to display the digital card barcode, and present it to the cashier before payment. The eligible items are auto-discounted. On Jarir.com online, the discount applies automatically when logged in with the registered account; alternatively, cardholders can enter their 7-digit discount card number manually at checkout. No minimum spend required, no point thresholds, no redemption forms to complete. Excluded categories include electronics, computers, smartphones, TVs, and gaming.
